Giving back to our community

At Retirement Income Strategies, we have a passion for investing in our community and giving back to others. That’s why we partner with the following organizations.

The AWARE Program

Evansville Community School District

Services provided by the Evansville AWARE program benefit struggling families, seniors and disabled adults who live in the Evansville School District. The program provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for families on the weekends. Other programs offered include Koats for Kids, Cakes for Kids, an Easter basket program and the Rub-a-Dub-Dub program, which focuses on hygiene. AWARE has also started a campaign to help raise awareness of teen relationship abuse.

Retirement Income Strategies held a “Toys for Tacos” charity event in December 2017 where clients, friends and community members brought gifts to donate to the AWARE program in exchange for tacos. The event was a huge success!

We look forward to growing our partnership with AWARE and continuing to support our local community.

The Eager Free Public Library

Evansville, Wisconsin

The doors of the Eager Free Public Library opened in the spring of 1908 through a generous bequest from Almeron Eager. Since that time, the library has provided a public service to the Evansville community and its surrounding area, supporting diversified residents of all economic backgrounds.

Generations of Evansville’s children, teens and adults have been introduced to the joy of reading at the library, along with programs and education at all levels. The library’s wide range of services includes books, community activity opportunities, education through programs and services for those who are unable to find such services elsewhere, history/genealogy resources and a warm atmosphere for folks to come and just find comfort in its quiet surroundings.

The Eager Free Public Library opens windows to the world by encouraging literacy, inspiring learning and connecting people. Retirement Income Strategies supports the vision of the library and all that it offers our community members.

USO

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country as they serve the nation.

For nearly 75 years, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military and their families throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side.

Feeding America®

We’re proud to provide donations to our local Feeding America® member food bank.

Our involvement with Feeding America® was prompted in part by the 100 Million Meals Challenge led by bestselling author, entrepreneur and life coach Tony Robbins. Tony donated all the proceeds from his book “MONEY: MASTER THE GAME — 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom” to Feeding America®, making a minimum pledge of 50 million meals to the organization, and challenged others to come together to match his donation in order to provide a total of 100 million meals.

The problem of hunger in our country and in our community is real. One in eight people in the United States is food insecure, meaning they don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

Hunger especially affects children, with more than 13 million food-insecure children in the United States. By partnering with Feeding America®, we’re able to help lead the fight against hunger in the United States.
